North Pakistan Autumn Tour 2027

Autumn in Northern Pakistan

Experience one of the most beautiful seasons in Pakistan as the northern valleys transform into a spectacular palette of golden yellow, orange, and red. Surrounded by the snow-covered peaks of the Karakoram and Hindu Kush mountain ranges, autumn is an ideal time to explore mountain villages, historic forts, scenic lakes, and the unique cultures of Northern Pakistan.

Discover the Kalash Valleys & Phool Festival

On this tour, you will discover the enchanting Kalash Valleys of Northern Pakistan in autumn. Surrounded by the dramatic Hindu Kush Mountains, the valleys of Bumburet, Rumbur, and Birir offer breathtaking mountain scenery, traditional wooden houses, lush orchards, terraced fields, and a distinctive living cultural heritage.

While in the Kalash Valleys, you will have the opportunity to attend the Phool Festival. Associated primarily with the Birir Valley, this annual, colorful two-day festival usually takes place in mid-October to celebrate the grape and walnut harvest. Celebrated with high spirits and zeal, the festival features locals singing songs in their language and performing traditional dances throughout the two days. You will explore Bumburet, Rumbur, and Birir, meet the local communities, and discover the distinctive lifestyle of the Kalash people—a small ethnic mountain community inhabiting these three narrow valleys in the eastern Hindu Kush range.
