Trekking Pakistan's 8000M Base Camps
K2 • Nanga Parbat • Broad Peak • Gasherbrum I • Gasherbrum II
Pakistan is home to five of the world’s fourteen 8,000-meter peaks: K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum II. For North Pakistan Adventure, this can be promoted as the Pakistan Five 8,000m Base Camp Trek, an extraordinary journey combining the Karakoram and western Himalaya. Four of these giants—K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II—are concentrated around the Baltoro-Concordia region, while Nanga Parbat stands in the western Himalaya. The Gasherbrum I and II base camps are accessed on the upper Baltoro and Gasherbrum side and normally require additional days beyond the straightforward K2 and Broad Peak section. A genuine five-base-camp itinerary therefore needs a longer schedule, commonly around 30 days depending on acclimatization, weather, and route conditions.
Highlights
- Five 8,000-Meter Giants: Witness an elite collection of the world's highest peaks, including K2, Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, and the Gasherbrums I and II.
