BALTORO GONDOGORO PASS TREK

In 1986, a trekking route was established that connects the Baltoro Glacier to Hushe Valley over a Pass called GONDOGORO LA 5700M. Since then, this challenging Pass has attracted a large number of trekking groups as well as numerous climbing expeditions. The Gondogoro La Pass trek is another iconic trek in the Karakorum Range of Pakistan, known for its stunning scenery and challenging terrain. The trek’s centerpiece is the Gondogoro La Pass, which stands at an altitude of approximately 5,940 meters (19,488 feet). Crossing this high-altitude pass is a challenging but rewarding experience, offering breathtaking panoramic views of some of the world’s highest peaks, including K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I and II, and many others.

Like the Baltoro K2 Base Camp trek, the Gondogoro La Pass trek also traverses the majestic Baltoro Glacier. Trekkers will marvel at the vastness of this glacier and the towering peaks that surround it, making their way through a landscape of ice formations, moraines, and glacial streams.
Similar to the Baltoro K2 Base Camp trek, the Gondogoro La Pass trek also passes through Concordia, the legendary glacial junction where the Baltoro Glacier meets the Godwin-Austen Glacier. Trekkers will be treated to awe- inspiring views of some of the highest peaks in the world, making this a highlight of the journey.
The Gondogoro La Pass trek is considered one of the most challenging treks in the world due to its high altitude, rugged terrain, and unpredictable weather conditions. Trekkers must be well-prepared physically and mentally to tackle the demanding ascent to the pass and navigate the challenging terrain along
the way.
