L’idée de visiter les montagnes splendides du Karakorum me trottait depuis des décennies: en tant que trekkeur et en tant qu’alpiniste. Des photos, des les récits, des livres… pleins d’images. Eté 2000 : Grâce au regretté Bernard Domenech, nous avons connu ma femme et moi Ishaq Ali, le boss de North Pakistan. Ce premier voyage dans la vallée du Hunza a été le prélude à quatre autres, en huit ans, et le début d’une forte amitié avec Ishaq. Confiance son professionnalisme, la sûreté de son jugement, nous ont permis de connaître certains des plus beaux treks du Hunza et du Baltistan, celui qui conduit au pied de la plus belle montagne du monde, le K2 (Chogori) notamment. Grâce à Ishaq, j’ai aussi pu réaliser un de mes vieux rêves: gravir deux 6000 vierges à la limite du Karakorum et des Kuen Lun, près du Kunjerab Pass. Ho seguito tutte le istruzioni: rinnovato il passaporto, chiesto il visto e acquistato il materiale necessario.
Sono partita, riempiendomi la mente e il cuore di sensazioni irripetibili.
Della montagna ho vissuto più o meno tutti gli aspetti: dal caldo forte (+35-40° C su un terreno desertico, sabbioso) al freddo intenso (vento, pioggia, neve). Delle persone ho toccato l’umanità e la profondità.
Un ringraziamento speciale all’Agenzia di cui mi sono avvalsa per realizzare il sogno, la NORTH PAKISTAN ADVENTURE, che ha costruito una “spedizione” tutta per me, unico componente del gruppo.

K2- und Gasherbrum-Basecamp-Trek

Wir hatten uns für den Sommer 2013 zu einer Trekkingtour ins Zentrale Karakorum entschieden, um die Bergriesen um den K2 mit eigenen Augen zu bewundern. Wegen meiner Sehbehinderung, und weil wir lieber individuell unterwegs sind, wollten wir uns keiner Gruppe aus Deutschland anschließen und haben deshalb den Kontakt zu North Pakistan Adventure gesucht. Die Agentur antwortete stets umgehend und kenntnisreich auf unsere Fragen, so dass wir uns letztlich trotz des Anschlags am Nanga Parbat zur Reise entschieden. . Die Agentur bemühte sich um die notwendigen Genehmigungen, so dass wir ohne Zeitverzug unsere Trekkingtour starten konnten. Auch die Organisation vor Ort ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Transfers per Flugzeug und Geländewagen verliefen stets einwandfrei, wobei man die landestypischen Standards beachten sollte. Für ausreichend und vielseitige Verpflegung war gesorgt. Unser Guide Muhammad Aman nahm nach einer ausführlichen Vorbesprechung Rücksicht auf unsere Bedürfnisse und sorgte so für eine optimale Akklimatisierung und problemlos gangbare Wanderetappen. Wir haben uns in seiner Gesellschaft nie unsicher gefühlt. Auch das Küchenteam und die Träger waren überaus zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, so dass wir uns auf der 18-tägigen Tour ganz auf die Etappen und die umgebende Landschaft konzentrieren konnten. Weil der Nanga Parbat nach dem Anschlag für internationale Besucher gesperrt war, und wir natürlich auch nicht dorthin reisen wollten, haben wir sehr kurzfristig mit der Agentur nach unserem Trekking eine kürzere Nach-Tour ins grüne Hunza-Tal verabredet. Trotz der kurzen Vorbereitungszeit von kaum 24 Stunden klappte auch hier alles verabredungsgemäß. Schließlich bleiben wir noch drei Tage in Islamabad und haben diese für einige Ausflüge in die Umgebung genutzt. Auch hier gab es keine Beanstandungen.
