RAKAPOSHI BASE CAMP TREK

RAKAPOSHI BASE CAMP road is located in the area of ​​MINAPIN village in the Nagar Valley of the Northern Region (Gilgit-Baltistan), very easily accessible from the Karakoram Highway (KKH) or KARIMABAD HUNZA. This is one of the easiest routes in the Karakoram, suitable for all physical fitness and age, offering all the pleasure of walking, including crossing a glacier.

This is one of the shortest and easiest routes from RAKAPOSHI to DIRAN to the pristine Karakoram peak camp over 7000M. The MINAPIN glacier sweeps along a 16 km snow-covered ridge connecting RAKAPOSHI and DIRAN. The short and easy trek from MINAPIN to RAKAPOSHI Base Camp, also known as TAGAPHRI, is an ideal introduction to the Karakorum Trek, a gentle adventure in the Karakorum Mountains.

2-3 hours from MINAPIN village to HAPAKUN, the camp is very good and clean, very easy in the exam. Resort people are nice and cooperative, better to start early to avoid the heat of the day. Then 3-4 HRS easy walk from HAPAKUN to RAKAPOSHI base camp. There are also camping sites where you can spend the night, all with clean water

ITINERARY:

First Day: Arrival at Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel, sightseeing in Islamabad and RAWALPINDI, visit the largest mosque in Asia and ancient local market
 02: NARAN & BABU Drive to CHILAS (10-12 HRS) via Sar Pass or KARAKURAM Highway, Overnight at Hotel CHILAS,
03: CHILAS to KARIMABAD-HUNZA via GILGIT, overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Excursion to ULTAR grassland and return to KARIMABAD, overnight drive to MINAPIN village (2000 AD) and overnight stay in tent or hotel.

05: Trek: MINAPIN TO HAPAKUN 2800M (3 hours, 5.8 km and 800 m uphill). A maximum of 3 hours to reach HAPAKUN (2800 M) by train from DIRAN guesthouse in MINAPIN village.
06: TREK HAPAKUN TO TAGAPHRI 3300M (2-3 hours, 3km, 450m climb), steep road continues from HAPAKUN to TAGAPHRI. The trail eases and transforms its rocky slopes into lush green valleys for 30 minutes. You can see DIRAN Peak, RAKAPOSHI, and the interlaced ice wall and finally get a complete view. After reaching, you can climb the hill to see HUNZA valley and mountains. One night in a tent
07: Free day to cross the glacier and return to the tent for the night
 08: Return to MINAPIN 3-4 HRS Drive to GILGIT or CHILAS Overnight at Hotel
 09: Proceed to Islamabad overnight at the hotel
 10: Depart Islamabad (Drop off at Airport)
