BIAFO HISPER TREK Outside the polar region lies the largest ice sheet in the world; It is hard to believe in Pakistan, which is primarily an arid country. Northern Karakoram Mountains guarantee plenty of snow. Stored in glaciers at freezing heights. BIAFO HISPER TREK The heart of this glacier system is Lukpe Lawo, also known as “Snow Lake”, four formations of ice, and snow. Boulders that look like a giant car crash from the air. The roads lead to two tributaries of this stream, the Biafo and Hispar glaciers. North of Lukpe Lawo, connected by Hispar Pass (5150mts). This is one of the wildest and most impressive hikes anywhere in the world in one of the most remote corners of the world. Instead, we will meet only a handful of people and can come across a large herd of markhor and ibex.
